Dear Readers,
My life is so busy that I will only be able to post once (or possibly twice) a week for who knows how long. I've decided to do a long post every weekend with all the latest news. Sometimes it will include pictures, other times it will not.
The RSSG Post is going great. I'm having so much fun acting like a real reporter and getting to do my favorite thing--write! I've been assigned an article about the school's Magazine Sale Fundraiser. I took pictures of girls turning in their orders and at the ice cream social for everyone who sold three subscriptions or more. I also interviewed the principal about our success. I'm done with the first draft of my article, too! The first issue comes out on September 28th. I can't wait!
Next, Samantha has been working diligently. I help her by making a few posters for her Student Council campaign and watching her Peter Pan rehearsals.
I'm still doing Today's Adventurers, too. We're planning a bake sale to raise money for a trip to the zoo so we can see all the animals we've been learning about in our zoology unit.
On top of all this, there's that thing called homework! I spend about an hour and a half per night studying.
That's all for now! I'll post pictures when I can.
Your blogger,
Kit
P.S. Can you tell we've been working on friendly letters at school?

Finale: Summer Camp Part 7
Hello out there!
Finally! I'm on my last post about summer camp! I'm kind of glad to be finished posting pictures. It's tedious.
On the last day, I convinced Kirsten to climb a tree with me! Addy was a bit stubborn and refused to come up. She said she didn't want to break her arm on the last day of camp. I guess that makes sense.

We posed for one final picture together. This is it! The last picture taken of us "Camp Sisters!" I have no idea when we'll all be together again.

And here is a collage made with Picnik. Pretty cool, huh? (I wanted to make it bigger, with about nine pictures, but to do that, you have to pay $24.99. Snapples.)

I love camp so much! I really hope I can go back next year. And Addy and Kirsten, if you're reading this, I MISS YOU GUYS! YOU'RE AWESOME!
That's all, folks.
:D Kit

Nighttime Fun: Summer Camp Part 6
Have patience, faithful readers. This is the second-to-last post about summer camp!
Nights were a lot of fun, especially the last one. We always had free time to do whatever we wanted.
Addy did Kirsten's hair (thumbs up for the adorable mini buns!) and I read AG Magazine. Can you tell that Kirsten is reading my copy of Black Beauty? I lent it to her because I'm nice like that.

Addy and I were just chatting...

...when silly Kirsten came over and declared a pillow fight!

The battle was on. That pillow was soon flying through the air.

By this time, we were all cracking up.

Uh-oh...we could hear the couselor coming and quickly jumped into bed.

What a night! Aren't sleepovers fun?
Speaking of sleepovers, I promise promise promise you'll hear about Julie's visit this week! I just have to upload those photos.

Splish-Splash: Summer Camp Part 5
Good afternoon! What do you think of my new background from "The Cutest Blog on the Block?" I love it!
Now, time for some more summer camp memories...
What's summer without swimming? While our clothes dried, we decided to cool off in the creek. It was a hot day, and we were a little worn out from all that work.
We sat on the riverbank deciding who would get in first. Addy volunteered and dove in.

I went next. Ahhh, the cool water felt really good!

Addy and I swam around a bit. I yelled to Kirsten, "Come on in! It's fun!"

"Oh, alright," she said, and splashed into the water.

A counselor helped me convert the wagon into a raft-type thing.

It was pretty cool until Kirsten tried to get on and it tipped over.

Oh well. We were already wet. Hee hee...it was time to relax anyway...

Then we gathered our clothes, got dressed, and went in for a snack.

There's definitely nothing like swimming in a stream.
I hung out with Julie yesterday! It was a blast. Pics coming soon!
--The Kitten (haha, just kidding.)

Laundry Day: Summer Camp Part 4
Greetings, readers!
It seems that I won't see my friend Julie till tomorrow, so I'm finally back with more summer camp adventures. Sorry for the delay. Today's post will be about a very fun activity at camp--washing our clothes in the stream!
One morning, we loaded our clothes into the wagon and set off for the little freshwater creek that runs past the camp. Unfortunately, it turned out to be heavier than we thought. Addy decided she would rather sit on top of the clothes than push.

I explained to her that it would be much easier if we worked together.

We all grabbed hands and marched toward the stream. Hooray for teamwork!

When we reached the water, we kicked off our shoes, waded in, and sat down to begin scrubbing our clothes. Soon, we were surrounded by skirts and dresses.

Then, we heaped the wagon with the sopping wet clothes.

The counselors had set up a clothesline for each group of camp sisters. Kirsten, Addy, and I quickly began hanging up our shirts and sweaters.

Here's a great shot of the finished product. I think we did a fine job!

Please comment and tell me what you think of the lovely laundry pictures!
There will be approximately four more camp posts and one post with pictures of my upcoming visit with Julie!
Lots of love,
Kit

Playing at the Park: Summer Camp Part 3
Hi! Before I show you some more photos, I want to tell you that I added some pages to my blog. On the "More About Me" one, you can learn just that: more about me. On "Meet My Friends," I put up a picture and a short paragraph for all of my buddies. Please check them out and tell me what you think!
Now, back to the subject of summer camp.
One day, we walked to a park to play on the equipment.

We finally got too tired to play anymore and sat on a bench to talk.

I think that was the best park I've ever been to. Stay tuned for more adventures!

Wagons and Drawings: Summer Camp Part 2
Hello, again, I'm here with more summer camp fun!
We took a lot of hikes throughout the week. On this one, we took turns pulling each other in the wagon.

I was holding a bouquet of flowers I picked! The counselor showed me which plants would dry nicely and wouldn't turn brown. One was really soft and green and called "Our Lady's Bedstraw." Isn't that a weird name? There's also some lavender, which made the bouquet smell good.

At the end of this hike, we were told to pick something we'd seen to draw when we went to the craft house. Addy, Kirsten, and I spent some time discussing what to pick.

Inside the craft house, we grabbed some paper and colored pencils and got to work.

I drew a pink flower...

...Addy sketched a tree...

...and Kirsten made a very realistic picture of a Monarch butterfly.

Ta-da! All of the campers put their drawings on the wall.

More to come!
XOXO,
Kit
